We aim to offer a wide range of courses and activities designed to satisfy the lifestyles of those that live in the community and the surrounding area. Whether you'd like to build a classic car for a drive to the beach, or the get-away ride for a superhero villain on the run, we've got a wide range of options from we can choose! Start with our model plan and modify as you go - show us your unique building style!Each class is a fun and educational LEGO-building adventure with Bricks 4 Kidz. We use age-appropriate models for different levels of building skill. This hands-on class explores STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), primarily using LEGO™ bricks, in which children will develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fun, engaging way while building motorized models!Fall 2026 -
Allegro Intro to GuitarYouth Enrichment RecreationAges 8 - 12 (level 1). Learn the basics of playing the guitar in a fun group setting. Hand position, chording, melodies, note-reading, tabs and more will be covered. Students will receive a guitar book and assignment folder, but must provide own guitar. This class has an additional materials fee of $25. The materials fee may be paid and materials picked up at Allegro School of Music (Main Studio/4301 Ambrose Ave NE, Grand Rapids MI49525) on date TBD or by contacting Allegro School of Music (301-3888 or lessons@allegroGR.org) for other arrangements. Allegro Intro to PianoYouth Enrichment RecreationGrades 2 – 4 (level 1). This fun introduction to playing the piano balances keyboard time with learning basic music theory, improving overall musicianship and encouraging the learning process. Students must have access to a full-sized keyboard or piano at home for practice and are encouraged to bring their keyboards to class when possible. Students will receive a piano book, practice CD and assignment folder. In addition, students who do not bring their own keyboard to class will have access to a keyboard or piano during class. This class has an additional materials fee of $35. Before and After CareBAC Registration The BAC Program (Before & After Care) provides quality care for RPS school-aged children in developmental kindergarten through fifth grade and is available every school day at all of our elementary schools. This program focuses on enhancing physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development, with recognition of individual interests and talents and promotion of the school as a safe and stimulating place. Table games, crafts, gym time, outdoor play and an afternoon snack are planned each day. Note for parents of incoming Developmental Kindergarten (DK) students: When entering your child’s information, you will not see an option for DK under grade. Please select “Kindergarten” and choose “Fall 2027” from the dropdown menu next to the grade field. DK students attending Parkside should register for BAC at Valley View Elementary. DK students attending Edgerton Trails or Crestwood may register at either their home school or the school where they attend DK. Days & Hours The BAC program begins on the first day of the school year and ends on the last day of school. Morning BAC is available from 7:00 AM - 8:25 AM. Afternoon BAC is available from 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Care is available on early release days from 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Care is NOT available on district snow days. Tuition Information Rockford Before and After Care is a prepaid program. The BAC program is tuition based; it is not funded by Rockford Public Schools. We do not offer sibling discounts. Tuition is charged based on enrollment, not attendance, i.e., illness, vacation. If BAC is open, you will be charged if your child was scheduled to attend. Beginner BridgeAdult Enrichment and RecreationDo you enjoy playing card games? Would you like to learn a game you can enjoy throughout life and is good for your brain? If so, then bridge is for you! It can be learned and enjoyed by anyone from middle school throughout life! You can play socially with a group of 4 friends, or competitively at a local club throughout the US. This class will teach you modern bridge bidding, play of the hand, and defense. Class will consist of a lesson and then practice hands. Instructor Background: Karen Cornelius has been a member of the Bridge Club of Grand Rapids since 2010 and has achieved the bridge status of Life Master. Karen plays twice a week at the local bridge club, and has taught at East Grand Rapids, Kentwood, and Rockford. She enjoys meeting students and teaching them how to play the game that she loves!Fall 2026 -

This class is for you if you have an open mind, a sense of curiosity, and are willing to do the very fun weekly assignment. Instructor: Mair Hill has been teaching and living the principals of Better than Magic! for over thirty years. She used these tools when she owned a conventional business and she taught her three boys starting at a young age.
