The Spiritual Dimensions of the Human-Animal Bond
Our relationships with animals often become some of the most meaningful and spiritually significant relationships of our lives. They teach us about unconditional love, presence, compassion, grief, resilience, and our deep connection to the living world.
In this engaging three-hour workshop, participants will explore the spiritual dimensions of the human–animal bond through an interfaith lens, discovering how animals can become teachers, companions, healers, and guides throughout life's journey. Through storytelling, guided reflection, interactive discussion, and a creative art experience, participants will deepen their understanding of the sacred nature of these relationships and the lasting gifts animals leave in our lives.
Together, we will explore themes such as presence, wonder, compassion, reciprocity, grief, and transformation, while honoring both joyful and difficult experiences with animals. Participants will also create a meaningful piece of reflective art celebrating an animal who has shaped their life, providing a tangible reminder of the enduring bond they share.
Whether you are grieving the loss of an animal, seeking a deeper understanding of the human–animal bond, or simply wishing to explore the spiritual wisdom animals offer, this workshop provides a welcoming space for reflection, connection, and renewal.
The class fee includes a $10 supply fee.
All ages are welcome (children 14 and under may attend with an adult).
